Catchup - part 4

Well, here it is the final installment of catching up. I am going to combine a few things into one so that I can be done with this and get on to the fun things happening everyday :-)

Sarah moments after she walked in on all her friends yelling surprise

On March 14th my Sister-in-law turned the big 3-0. So we had a big surprise party for her. It was so much fun to put it all together for her and shower her with blessings. We BBQ'd tritip, and had all sorts of yummy deserts. We also decorated the house with fresh flowers, candles everywhere and even some frilly touches on the table. I hope she was blessed, and that she knows just how much we love her.

Brent and Sarah standing next to some candles, Brent was the mastermind behind the whole party!

Completely by accident my future sister-in-law Elena and I dressed alike for the party. Truth be known I got dressed after I had already seen what she was wearing but I honestly didn't remember what she was wearing. Besides it was a great way for the two daughter-in-laws to bond :-) We had a lot of fun taking "Mrs. E" photos and being silly.

Elena and I being goof balls.

Matchy Matchy Purple Squared. Go Team!!!

It was also decided during the first part of March that Daniel and Elena would be getting married overseas in Morocco. SO, we decided that we are going to join them for the festivites. We could not be more excited! It is going to be a chance to see the work that is going on, visit with old friends and be together as a family. For the first time EVER the whole family is going to be together in Morocco! All six kids hanging out and celebrating!

And what a celebration it will be, not only are we getting a great new sister-in-law but we are also going to be partying for 3 days straight. It true Moroccan style we will stay up late, dance long and eat way too much food! I'll be sure to blog all about the adventure. I can hardly wait!

We will only get to be there for about 13 days, including travel time. And you can be praying for our travels. As of right now there are about 11 adults, 5 infants (two of which are almost 2 years old) and 1 child all on the same flight together. Pray for us and the other people on the flight. Oh buddy are we in for it! Anything for family though, right?! :-)

Catchup - part 3

In the past few weeks Benson turned 4 months and has been growing so much. He has started to have a little personality all his own. He loves to laugh and watch everything that is happening around him. He is pretty ticklish in his armpits and when you hold him up in the air and bounce him just a little bit he giggles and giggles.

He is trying to sit up on his own a little bit, mostly when you hold him too laid back he tries desperately to pull himself forward. He's not quite there but on Grandma's advice we have started to sit him up with pillows and give him toys to play with. He is good for about 15 min. and then he wants to lay flat again.

The poor little guy has had major gas problems all his life (hey I'm a mom I get to talk about these things :-)) He use to only have a dirty diaper once a week. It was our Sunday night blow-out. Every week something new and exciting, but always a blow-out. Well I decided to try not having milk and it has seemed to make a world of difference. He isn't so fussy and he now has dirty diapers a couple times a week! Who knew I would get so excited about dirty diapers?! So for now the milk is out and the Benny is happy! YEAH!

The other big news in Benson's life is that he is now sharing a room with Josiah. It started last night and it went incredibly well. Benson is really only waking up once in the night now and when that happened Josiah sat up looked at me feeding Benson, said "nigh-nigh" and laid back down. Needless to say I have the two best boys in the world!

As Benson grows so does Josiah, but Josiah gets quite a lot of blog time, so its only fair that today is all for our little Benny!

Catchup - part 2

Its hard to believe but Josiah has never had an ice cream cone. Nope never. When we were overseas they had ice cream bars or little bowls of stuff they like to say is ice cream, but no rich creamy Dairy Queen to fill your heart and belly with joy. So a couple weeks ago we took him out for his first ice cream cone. Needless to say he loved it.

Catchup - part 1

Some how life has flown and we are suddenly into the middle of March. Shoot we're almost into the end of March! How did that happen? Well, we have been having a lot of fun lately so that explains it. I have been meaning to sit down and share all about the good times, but moments at the computer are rare and I am usually only with it enough to read the news. So in an attempt to fill you in on all our adventures I am going to play catchup :-)

March 3-6 I went down to the coast with my Mom & my Sister Kati to celebrate my mom's birthday.

It was a great time with all the kiddos. We relaxed and played games. Read a bit and did the required shopping at the outlet mall. My nephew Kallen is just a year older than Josiah and they get along great. Kynlee and Benson are too young to know how they will do, but I am guessing they will have a blast together someday :-)

One of many attempts to get all the kids (2 and under mind you) to look at the camera and smile. At least they are cute, right?!

More to come tomorrow! Is the suspense killing you?
