Valentine's Day

This was one of my most favorite valentine's days ever. It was just plain perfect! One of Joey's most favorite things to do is surprise me. So all he told me was to be ready to go to dinner at 4:30 and he'd do the rest. So he came home and I finished getting ready and asked if he needed to go get a babysitter or something. I was so confused. He just smiled and said "are you ready to go?" I was so he said "first surprise, I'm the babysitter" which confused me even more, was I going to dinner by myself? Then he said "you're off to get a pedicure!"

So I jumped in the car and went to see Elena, my brother-in-laws fiance! She is going to beauty school and does hair, pedicures, manicures, etc. If you're ever in the Tacoma area you should have her do your hair or nails, cuz she is good! Anyway, we got to visit while I got pampered. It was fun. Then I headed home. I knocked on the door like I was suppose to and Joey met me. He was running a bit behind and needed me to chill for 20 min. or so. See while I was gone he was making dinner. Isn't that cute! He rarely cooks and really only ever makes eggs, but he had gone online and gotten recipes that he thought I would like. Then he slaved away while watching the two boys - no easy task - and created a masterpiece.

Finally he came and got me. He had set up a little table, lit candles all over the place and had nice music going. There was even a yummy bottle of wine. He had made onion rings - so incredibly good, chicken fettuccine and green been casserole that was to die for. The food was so good. I was beyond impressed and so blessed! He even made a yummy salty/sweet dessert - caramel apples rolled in salt.

We wrapped the evening up by watching a movie, it was just plain wonderful. I sure do love my husband! Like I said it was the perfect valentines day!
