Halloween!

I didn't really think ahead about Halloween this year, so it kinda snuck up on me.  All the men are off killing things so us girls really needed something to do with our crazy little boys. Going to get free candy sounded like a GREAT idea. So we dressed our kiddos up in the costumes we could find or borrow and headed out to our local candy extravaganza.

Each year the downtown association closes the streets and lets the kiddos come and get candy. It is insanity, but great fun. So many people to watch, so many costumes to take in. My boys who really don't get out much would actually point and fall down laughing at kids dressed as turtles, or monkeys, or Buzz Lightyear. It was a bit embarrassing, but also rather funny! The only thing to do is laugh at my socially awkward children. Its going to be like this the rest of my life :-)

We had a really great time and I am so thankful we decided to go. We followed the evening up with McDonald's. And as my nephew Thomas declared from the backseat "McDonald's is better than candy!"
